A total of one hundred extra benches should be added along the Utrecht walking paths, where people can relax while strolling through nature. But only 25 applications have been made so far. That could be better, says the province. “We live in a beautiful green province where you can walk beautifully”, says Deputy Mirjam Sterk. “Sometimes it is nice, or necessary, to rest for a while and enjoy the beautiful nature at the same time. These recreational benches offer that possibility.”
