Anatoly Antonov, the Russian Ambassador to the USA, announced that the bank accounts of the New York and Houston consulates were frozen by the Bank of America, and said, “Our embassy is under a blockade by the US government institutions. The accounts of our two consulate generals in Houston and New York have been closed by Bank of America.”
“EMPLOYEES RECEIVE THREATS”
Ambassador Antonov said, “Embassy employees receive threats in writing and over the phone. Even exits from the embassy were blocked at one time. There were many demonstrations. Vandalism actions took place and paint was spilled on people.”
