Bungie, the developers behind Destiny 1 and 2 are waging a fierce battle against many cheat providers and cheaters who dare to cheat in their games. The current case of VeteranCheats shows how tough Bungie is here. This provider will now in court sued for damages.
What is the charge? Bungie has sued the company behind VeteranCheats for a total of $12 million. The costs consisted of copyright infringement, circumvention claims and legal fees:
The circumvention claim can be derived from the cheats sold. The company has sold a total of 5,848 of these cheats for Destiny 2 and Bungie is asking for a total of 2,000 US dollars per hack, which corresponds to almost 1,900 euros.
A harsh penalty that Bungie is demanding of the vendor, but it will be some time before this can be enforced or taken to court.
