Arcane Season 2 ended the story of Jinx, Vi and Piltover, but the world still has a lot to offer and the fate of some characters is unknown. But the story of a character continues and a video for the new season of LoL shows how.

What is this new video? The YouTube video Welcome to Noxus was published on the official League of Legends channel. This is the new cinematic video for the new season of LoL 2025. Like the season itself, the video focuses on the Noxus region.
The video is not only exciting for LoL players. If you’re a fan of Arcane, you should also watch the video, as Riot worked with Fortiche, the animation studio behind Arcane, to produce the video.
But that’s not all. In Arcane style, we get our first glimpse of the region that was only mentioned in the background in the series. The special highlight is an important character from Arcane who continues her journey in the video.

A hidden Arcane villain is seen for the first time
What do you see in the video? The video shows various aspects that have to do with the Noxus region. Ambessa Medarda comes from the region known for brutal warfare.
In one part of the video we see a young Darius taking on the troll king Trundle. We see a brutal battle in a place that looks like the border to the Freljord snow region. Darius even seems to emerge victorious from the fight.
The assassin Katarina and the member of the Black Rose Elise fight another battle. You even see Elise transforming into her spider form.
Another aspect of the video is Mel Medarda, who is on her way to Noxus at the end of Arcane Season 2. In the video you can see her arriving with her fleet and looking at ruins and a landscape. You can also see her powers again. Mel Medarda will also be the next new champion in League of Legends.
The big highlight of the video is the end, where you get your first look at LeBlanc, who was only seen as a shadow in Arcane. She talks to Vladimir about Piltover and an approaching catastrophe. Additionally, LeBlanc says they need to take bolder steps now.
The great evil that threatens Runeterra
What could this mean for future sequels? After Arcane, there will be other series from the same universe and the Noxus region would be perfect for this, as characters and stories from the region have already been mentioned in Arcane.
The big bad LeBlanc is talking about could be Mordekaiser. He was a former warlord who lived long ago. Thanks to necromantic abilities, he is virtually immortal and can create an army of undead. But Mordekaiser was betrayed and his plans were initially thwarted.
LeBlanc may want to prepare for his return, which is why she also wants the power of Mel at her side. Mordekaiser’s power would threaten not only Noxus, but all of Runeterra. Another important character from Noxus was already hinted at at the end of Arcane: The end of Arcane on Netflix already hints at which LoL villain could continue
