Utrecht – Residents of student complex The Fizz in Overvecht pay too much rent, says the municipality. Affordability agreements have not been properly recorded, according to a council letter from alderman Dennis de Vries. After a months-long mediation process, the rents of the furnished homes have now been reduced by tens of euros per month, but the rates are still higher than the municipality would like.
