Neah Nilsson and her friend Wilma Tyllström never came back from the orientation at school. Then the teachers started looking for them, something Southeast was the first to tell about.
– We only got really worried when the girls didn’t come back, says teacher Stina Francke in Efter fem and goes on to say:
– Their last bus home had left, so we started driving around and looking.
During orientation, Neah and Wilma had met an elderly lady who was unable to move due to severe back pain. They helped carry her bags and called home services – which did not come.
– After a while we called an ambulance instead, says Neah.
Once the teachers found the girls, the teachers thought they could free Neah and Wilma, but the girls were stubborn and wanted to wait until the ambulance arrived, to see that everything was okay for the older woman.
– They were determined to stay, says Stina Francke.
Now the girls have been widely praised for their efforts. Both principal Ragnhild Hellström and the chairman of the children’s and education committee praised the girls in front of a large media gathering.
