A student at a primary school in Gävle had to be revived in hospital after he had a severe allergic reaction during school hours, Gefle Dagblad reports.

According to the school’s report to the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the reaction was due to the child, due to deficiencies in routines in the school kitchen, ingesting something that he could not tolerate.

It was the child’s mentor who noticed that he was unwell and called an ambulance.

The incident occurred in September and will now be investigated by the Swedish Work Environment Authority.
