Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre have spoken to US President-elect Donald Trump and congratulated him on the win.
Støre tells NTB that Trump called on Monday evening.
“I repeated my congratulations on the election victory. In the conversation, we both emphasized Norway’s and the USA’s close cooperation,” writes Støre in a statement.
Similar words come from Finland. Stubb, who also spoke with Trump on Monday, writes on X that “We discussed Ukraine, Russia, China and security in Europe. We also talked about ice-breaking cooperation between Finland, the USA and Canada”.
