Six nations Police and Fire Personal Services Responssed at About 3:30 Am to the Restaurant on Fourth Line Road on Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation.

The EXTERIOR OF THE EASTERN END OF THE BUILDING – BUNCH IN THE STYLE OF A LARGE, RED BARN – WAS SCORCHED BY FLAMES AND THE ROOF APPARED TO BE CAVED IN.

A stattement released tuesday by six nations of the great river said first breaths encouraged significant Fire conditions upon arrival, but with assistance from Haldimand County Fire Services were able to extinguish the blaze with no reported injuries.

“It is unfortuunate to see a valued business impact by this fire, but we are grateful for no insults or fatalities,” Said Acting Fire Chief Michael Seth. “I extend my heartfelt Thanks to all Personal Involved for Their Rapid Response.”

Investigators from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal Were on the Scene Monday as the Investigation Continues in Collaboration With Six Nations Police.

“While Investigators with the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) Began Their Investigation, It was Determined That the Fire Caused significant structural Damage to the Building,” Said ofm Spokesperson Sean Driscoll. “For the Safety’s Sake of the Investigators, No One Will Be Entering the Building While We Wait For Heavy Equipment to Arrive to Provide Structural Integrity Necessary to Safely Enter the Building in Order to Continue With The Fire Investigation.”

Two Days Prior to the Fire Six Nations Police Were Called to the Restaurant at About 3:30 Am Saturdy, January 25 After Receiving Reports of Gunfire That Damaged The Building’s Exterior. No suspects we located, and police are trying to determine if the Gunshots and fire incidents are connected.

According to the restaurant’s website, the Burger Barn Opened in 2011 As Owner Jason Hill Pursued His Dream to Build A Better Burger Traditional Native Cuisine With Southern-Style Comfort Food.

The Burger Barn was featured on the food network program “You Gotta Eat here” that put the restaurant on the map as a destination for burger connoisseurs from beyond the local Area.

Hill Began His Working Career As An Industrial Painter That Led to Later Opening A Fueling Station, Convenience and Specialty Stores, A Construction Company, and A Wholesale Confecturery Supply Outlet.

A Car Racing Enthusiast as Well, Hill Sponsored A Team of Drivers That Won The Southern Ontario Sprint Car Championship in 2020.
