In the report “The state of the housing market in 2023”, the majority of the county’s municipalities have stated that new housing construction has been slowed down due to an uncertain world situation with changed economic conditions such as increased interest rates, prices and inflation.
– Although it looked good statistically last year, with several completed homes, we see a worrying development going forward with a significant reduction in new construction. Housing construction is under pressure from both builders who have difficulty getting the calculations together and from households with deteriorating finances, says community planner Aila Kollenhag in a press release.
