NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Polish President Andrzej Duda held a press conference at the NATO base in Poland and made statements. Responding to the questions of journalists, the leaders reacted to Russia and Putin.
Headlines from Stoltenberg’s speech are as follows:
“Putin destroyed the peace, Belarus helped the invasion, NATO stands by Ukraine.
Over the past week we have strengthened our presence in the eastern part of our alliance. French troops are also coming from Romania. Our commitment to defense is indisputable, we will continue to defend NATO territory.
We don’t want to go to war with Russia, it should resort to well-meaning diplomatic means. The whole world stands by Ukraine for peace.
Thank you for Poland’s strong support for our alliance.”
