The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement on the release of water stored at the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the ocean by the Japanese government today. “China strongly opposes this and strongly condemns it. “We made serious attempts to Japan and wanted this wrong to be stopped,” he said.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the following statements in a statement today;
“On August 24, in defiance of harsh criticism and opposition from the international community, the Japanese government unilaterally began releasing Fukushima’s nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean. China strongly opposes it and strongly condemns it. We made serious attempts to Japan and wanted this wrong to be stopped.
ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS WILL BE TAKEN
The disposal of nuclear contaminated water in Fukushima is an important nuclear safety issue. Its influence extends beyond the borders of Japan, and it is certainly not a private affair of Japan. Since humanity began using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, there have been neither precedent nor universally accepted standards for the discharge of nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean.”
