Strong performance from Kalle Rovanpera drove to a clear

Kalle Rovanperä had failed in Saturday’s start, but this time he immediately shot to the top spot.

Kalle Rovanperä drove to victory in the last Porche Carrera Cup Benelux race of the season in Zolder, Belgium.

Rovanperä started the second race of the weekend from the second grid and took the top spot thanks to his good start. Rovanperä was able to drive for a long time in the lead behind the safety car, because Sacha Norden drove out on the opening lap and had to retire.

The Finnish driver controlled the events of the race after the safety car and drove to victory with a difference of 3.3 seconds to Paul Meijer. The championship went to Holland To Dirk Schoutenwho drove third in the race.

Rovanperä was not able to drive for the championship, as he participated in only four race weekends during the season. He also drove to victory at the Imola track and at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.

Rovanperä previously started Saturday’s race from the pole position, but finished third. His start failed and he received a five-second time penalty for a stolen start.
