In the first quarter, the direct taxes stood at 63.1 billion euros, with a 8.7% increasebenefiting from the increase in revenue fromIRPEF (+ 3.9%) and, in particular, the withholdings on the income of employees in the private sector (+ 5.5%). Significant increases also for the substitute tax on income from capital and on capital gains (+ 180.2%) due to the favorable trend of the asset management market in 2021 and the substitute tax on the asset value pension funds (+103). Revenues are also growing IRES (+ 5%).

The indirect taxes in the quarter they reached 50.2 billion euros, with a increase of 20.5%. The positive trend was contributed byVAT (+ 22.8%), both the component relating to internal trade (+ 18.2%) and the VAT on imports (+ 57.8%) due to the trend in oil prices.insurance tax (+ 3.2%) andregistration tax (+ 9.1%) but not thestamp duty (-6.3%).

Revenue relating to games amount to 3.6 billion euros (+ 38.2%) and those deriving from verification and control activities amounted to 3,285 million euros (+ 84.3%).
