The explosion was so powerful that it was heard over large parts of Stockholm.
– We received an alarm about a strong detonation at 02.14 and we are on the scene with several different skills and also the rescue service and an ambulance, says Anna Westberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
No one has yet been found injured, but the explosion has caused major material damage to the apartment building and cars nearby.
– It is too early to say what it is that has detonated more than it was a strong bang, says Anna Westberg.

The site is cordoned off and police technicians are expected at the scene.
So far, no one has been arrested.
– No one is deprived of liberty that much I can say, says Anna Westerberg.
The police have started a preliminary investigation regarding gross public danger destruction.
