An explosion occurred in a residential area in Uppsala early on Sunday morning.
A police operation has been launched at the same time as “several different police skills” have been sent to the scene.
– We suspect that it was a hand grenade that exploded at the scene, says police spokesperson Jonas Eronen.
It was just after 04:30 when the police were alerted to a loud bang outside in the Kapellgärdet district in central Uppsala. The site is now cordoned off for technical examination.
A property has been damaged in the blast, but no one is said to have been injured.
