According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), a 5.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 12:24 local time in Fukushima’s Iwaki region.
The agency announced that the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 30 kilometers. There was no giant wave warning after the earthquake.
It was recorded that the shaking was also felt in the provinces of Ibaraki, Miyagi, Yamagata.
According to the Kyodo agency, no anomalies were detected at the “Dai-içi” and “Dai-ni” nuclear power plants in Fukushima and “Tokai 2” in Ibaraki.
