Stromae, whose real name is Paul van Haver, started performing again in 2022 after a seven-year hiatus. He quit after a tour in Africa when he had burned out and his malaria medication had given him side effects.
Stromae would have played in Rome, London and Berlin, among others. He has gigs booked even after May and says he will report back on how he is doing in the future.
“Surrounded by my family, I have to dedicate myself to getting better before I can start performing again,” he said.
