[Mis à jour le 8 juillet 2022 à 11h08] The holidays will be able to start a little more serenely for travelers who were to go this weekend to the two Parisian airports of Orly and Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle. After an agreement with management, the employees of the Aéroports de Paris (ADP) group accepted the proposal on Thursday and decided to lift the strike notice scheduled for Friday July 8, Saturday July 9 and Sunday July 10. The movement, which had already taken place last weekend, had led to around 10% flight cancellations at Paris airports and delays.
This lifting of the strike notice is good news for the many travelers expected at Paris airports this weekend on the occasion of the first weekend of the summer school holidays, but delays and disruptions cannot be ruled out. The unions warn that there are still insufficient staff in certain positions, particularly at the level of checks before boarding. “Whether we are on strike or not, this point does not change. Of the 4,500 vacant positions, barely half have been recruited”, assures Rachid Eddaidj, general secretary of the CFE-CGC at ADP. The unions of the subcontracting companies are also maintaining the strike notices filed for the days of July 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17, 2022. Finally, for travelers traveling to Spain this summer, the unions Spanish companies Ryanair and EasyJet have filed several strike notices for the summer period.
