Going to a workplace where the stress is palpable is not recommended. According to the trade union Unionen, 700 Swedes die due to work-related stress – every year. In addition, the number of sick leave due to stress is higher than ever.
Since 2019, the number of people on sick leave with a stress-related diagnosis has increased from 32,700 people to 45,000 in 2023. Never before have so many people been on sick leave due to stress.

The trade union The Union has, in an email sent to all members, explained several reasons why stress can occur in the workplace.
