Street Fighter 6 is getting bigger with the new DLC character Mai Shiranui. SNK’s iconic fighter will meet players on February 5.
Street Fighter 6is on the agenda with news that will excite fight fans. Capcom as the game’s new downloadable content (DLC) character May announced Shiranui. Mai, whom we know from SNK’s legendary Fatal Fury series, joins the Street Fighter 6 cast on February 5, 2025. The published gameplay trailer introduced the character’s abilities and fighting mechanics in detail.
Mai Shiranui’s Moveset and Traits
Mai Shiranui is the second guest character to join Street Fighter 6. In the trailer, Mai’s fighting style focuses on aerial attacks as well as her ninja skills. With his main weapon, his fan, he can deal effective blows to his opponents both from a distance and from close range.
Mai’s special moves include Kachousen (fiery fan attack) and Ryuuenbu (fiery spin attack). He can also attack his opponents by somersaulting with Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi and perform a powerful “dragon punch” with Hishou Ryuuenjin. The aerial dive attack also adds a dynamic dimension to the character’s move set.
Super Art abilities consist of three levels:
- Level 1: Sets the area on fire.
- Level 2: Attacks opponents quickly, avoiding projectives.
- Level 3: Disables opponents with elegant fan blows.
Mai Shiranui also has an alternate costume inspired by the game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. This skin can be purchased with Fighter Coins or earned by maximizing Mai’s bond in World Tour mode. The DLC will be automatically available for Year 2 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass owners. Players who want to purchase Mai Shiranui individually will be able to use Fighter Coins.
