Street dog Arthur’s journey touched the whole world

Do you remember Arthur? The street dog who accompanied a Swedish multi-sport team in Ecuador, and was then adopted home to Sweden by the adventurer Mikael Lindnord.
Now the first trailer has been released for the Hollywood film about the unlikely friendship.
– It feels surreal, says adventurer and owner Mikael Lindnord.

The story begins in 2014 when a Swedish multi-sport team participates in the WC in Ecuador. During the journey, a street dog begins to accompany the team, through hard and tough terrain in the jungle, after being offered a meatball. During the journey, the bond with the dog becomes so strong that the adventurer Mikael Lindnord decides to adopt the dog, which has now been named Arthur. After much toss and buts and paperwork, Arthur accompanies him home to Sweden, where he has six wonderful years with his new Swedish family before he falls asleep.

– He was like a fifth family member to us, he meant everything. Not a day goes by without me thinking about him, and I miss the TV evenings on the couch with Arthur, says Mikael Lindnord in Efter fem.

Mark Wahlberg as Michael

Hollywood was not slow to pick up on the fantastic story, and now a trailer for the feature film “Arthur the king”, which premieres in March next year, has been released.

The lead role features two-time Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg in the role of Mikael Lindnord.

– Some of the scenes in the film are so incredibly close to the truth. It’s very emotional, says Mikael Lindnord, who also co-produced the film.

“It’s actually possible to use the heart”

Mikael hopes that Arthur’s story will shed light on a problem that is widespread in the world.

– I feel a responsibility to tell about Arthur, because he is not alone, there are many Arthurs out there. I hope the film can inspire, not only to adopt, but to be a little kind sometimes. You don’t have to be angry and kick everything. You can actually use your heart.
