It is suspected that the famous artist also made other works for public places in the Kyiv region.

The famous English street artist and political activist Banksy has revealed that he painted a work on a building destroyed by Russian bombing in Ukraine.

Banksy posted on Instagram a series of three pictures of the work, in which gymnast stands on her hands (you move to another service) in ruins in the small town of Borodjanka.

Borodjanka, located northwest of the capital city of Kiev, has suffered extensive damage during the Russian invasion. Russian forces occupied the city in the early stages of the war, but Ukraine liberated it in April.

Murals had already been spotted in and around Kyiv before, based on which it was suspected that Banksy was working in Ukraine, says The British Broadcasting Company BBC (you will switch to another service).

According to the BBC, another mural suspected to be Banksy’s work has also appeared in Borodjanka. It depicts a judo match where a child beats the president Vladimir Putin a similar man. Putin has a black belt in judo.

Two paintings located in Irpin and Kiev are also thought to be made by Banksy. The artist does not always recognize the works he paints as his own. Based on the style, however, the works are often associated with him.

Banksy is one of the most famous artists of today, but his true identity is not publicly known. It is not certain whether it is one person or a collective.

The anonymous artist became famous in the early 1990s when he created murals using stencils in the Bristol area. Over the years, Banksy has been making street art in different parts of the world.
