The star xQc is said to have switched from Twitch to the Kick platform for $100 million. Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofstetter (31), the most successful live streamer on YouTube, is now dealing with this. She says she too finds the site immoral, but would switch for $100 million. Everyone would switch except for twitch streamer HasanAbi.

Valkyrae thinks gambling is okay – just don’t stream it
This is how she finds Kick: When Valkyrae heard xQc join Kick for $100 million, she publicly congratulated him and the site, saying it’s a “win-win” for everyone.
But she was confronted by Pokimane. Does she really want to support it so aggressively? After all, Kick is a gambling site.
Valkyrae sees this quite differently:
I personally like gambling: I think it’s okay to do it when you’re of legal age. You can gamble if you can afford to lose the money. Then it’s alright.
The part where it gets messy though is when you stream gambling. Some people shouldn’t gamble: people prone to addictions. Minors using their parents’ credit card. It gets really dirty because the wrong kind of people can watch and get addicted. goes bankrupt. That’s the part that’s kinda really dumb.
“No one would turn down $100 million – except Hasan”
But would she switch? Even if she thinks that “crypto-gambling” kicks are morally wrong, she would switch. Everyone would switch, says Valkyrae, almost everyone:
It’s tricky because I don’t think anyone, except Hasan, would turn down $100 million. Because that’s — I mean — in my mind, if I imagine what I’d do with $100 million, I’d be like — um, kind of giving away $90 million to so many people. That’s life changing money! So you know what I mean? So yeah, you’d go to an immoral site, probably, but I wouldn’t gamble there.
Who’s the guy that doesn’t switch? HasanAbi is a Twitch streamer who comments on current events, whether they’re happening on Twitch or in the real world.
While he’s not anti-capitalist, he does indulge in a fancy car or mansion, but he’s vehemently opposed to Kick, proclaiming that while he could see himself leaving Twitch, he would never go to Kick.
Valkyrae should be able to judge him well. It is rumored on parts of the internet that the two have closer ties, both apparently making sure that it appears friendly on the outside:

Is she right? One does not know. Some German streamers have already announced that they will not switch to Kick, either for moral reasons or because they have other irons in the fire, it is rumored, for example on the “Joyn” platform. But as far as we know, none of them were offered $100 million either.
