Streamer reveals how much she really earns on Twitch with 240,000 followers

In recent months, the streamer “fanfan” has become increasingly popular on Twitch. Some viewers therefore claimed that the 24-year-old was probably a millionaire. In a recent stream she explained what her income really looks like.

What kind of streamer is this? Fiona “fanfan” has been streaming regularly on Twitch since 2020 and is predominantly active in the “Just Chatting” category. However, it also shows games like Valorant and GTA 5.

fanfan currently has a little over 240,000 followers on Twitch, of which an average of around 4,800 watched their streams in the last 7 days (via SullyGnome, as of February 19, 2024).

With numbers like that, the streamer must have been a millionaire for a long time, right? At least that’s what some of the 24-year-old’s fans seemed to think, calling her a millionaire on the stream. The comments prompted fanfan to talk about her actual earnings.

“Thank God I earn enough money and don’t have to work much”

This is how much the streamer earns: In a stream from mid-February, fanfan explains that she earns around $150,000 a year. That corresponds to almost 140,000 euros. According to the streamer, it’s not “millionaire’s money”.

However, the 24-year-old makes it clear that she is by no means dissatisfied with her income: “I love it. I’m blessed, you know. Thank God I earn enough money and don’t have to work much. I’m just sitting here watching my videos and gaming.”

Viewers would see that the “top three streamers” earn $35,000 from a single sponsorship deal and assume that this applies to everyone, according to fanfan. However, she didn’t find a sponsor at all for 6 months. When the time finally came, the deal was closer to $3,000 to $5,000.

“I’m not saying it’s bad. I am really happy. I’m not complaining, but I also don’t understand the others who complain or claim that I’m a millionaire,” said fanfan. The streamer ends the topic by pointing out that the vast majority of streamers are not millionaires.

The clip itself is no longer available on Twitch, but can still be found on the streaming subreddit r/LivestreamFail.

It should be said, however, that fanfan has experienced strong growth in the last few months: the streamer was able to gain more than a third of her followers in the past 90 days. During this period, their average viewership also increased by over 180% (via SullyGnome, as of February 19, 2024).

So it could well be that the numbers will look different the next time she talks about her income.

The Luxembourgish streamer LetsHugo also recently gave a little insight into his finances, sparking discussions among some viewers: One of the biggest streamers on German Twitch talks about his income: “He earns more than my whole family.”
