At the start of WoW: Dragonflight, the streamer Asmongold went live again with his main channel on Twitch. For the first time in months. Asmongold actually wanted to go back on the air with his main channel in September, but had a panic attack and wanted to give up the channel. But now the fans welcomed him warmly and with a blessing.
What is strange about the Asmongold channel:
Panic attack at 7am prevents return
Here’s how his planned return went: On September 26th, Asmongold had announced that it would actually be streaming again on its “main channel” when WoW Classic – Wrath of the Lichking came out, but Asmongold suddenly panicked the night before returning.
Said he woke up at 7am and couldn’t sleep. So he just gave up. He said he may never return to the main channel.

How was his actual return now? Asmongold’s return to its main channel was a resounding success. Viewership exploded, peaking at 200,000.
In doing so, he came back to Twitch, as we know him, in full nerdiness. The return was cut and immortalized as “Return of the King” in the clip:
Dude raises spirits for Asmongold, “passes hat around”
This earned him a lot of money and some emotion: A pal of his who appears in a lot of videos, McConnell really set the mood for Asmongold. He said they’ve now had a tough two years, not only in the game but also outside of it:
A new age of dragons has dawned? We’re going to go to the mythical dragon islands, we’re going to claim our damn cool shit we need from there. So, if you want to follow Asmongold through this epic adventure to the end, raise your dongers now. Raise your Kappa’s. Share your energy, okay. And don’t forget to Twitch Primes! Twitch prime right now. Twitch prime for Dragon Flight. do you do it
While Asmongold was always touched by the passages about the “tough time” and said “That’s it” or “Exactly”, the fans followed McConnell’s speech and donated 8,000 Twitch Prime Subs worth around €20,000.
That made even Asmongold a little embarrassed. He thanked the fans for their support.
How’s that going? Asmongold doesn’t really trust peace. He knows how prone he is to wearing himself out “on the big channel.”
He says he’s trying to stream there daily now, but doesn’t want to stress himself as much. It’s been a “cycle” for 5 years, but he’s doing his best.
