Nadia Amine rose to become one of the biggest streamers on Call of Duty in 2022. However, her success is not undisputed, because there are numerous allegations of cheating against the 22-year-old. Despite everything, she now reached a major milestone on Twitch – and she was on the verge of giving up.
Where are the allegations coming from? The 22-year-old began streaming on Twitch in January 2021 and showed almost exclusively Call of Duty: Warzone. However, the spectators stayed away. That all changed when clips from some of her streams showing off the streamer’s skills went viral.
However, the success also drew numerous critics who believe Nadia is cheating. There are numerous videos that are intended to prove that the streamer uses aim bots or wall hacks.
Twitch streamer is said to have cheated in CoD: Warzone, defends herself: “Accepts that a woman is better”
How did the streamer react to the allegations? Nadia has so far denied all cheating allegations. And while some of their clips look suspicious, no concrete evidence has yet been provided.
For the streamer, the case seems clear: the allegations against her come from fragile men who cannot accept that a woman is better than her.
Now Nadia has reached 1 million followers on Twitch despite – or because of – the constant cheating allegations. In an interview, she spoke about her success and revealed that she was on the verge of giving up.
The second season of Warzone 2 started last week. In the trailer you can see what to expect.
“I thought it would be easier”
What was that interview? On February 7th, Nadia announced via Twitter that she had reached 1 million followers on Twitch. She couldn’t have imagined that a year ago. To mark this milestone, journalist Jake Lucky shared an interview he conducted with the streamer on February 17. You can watch the interview excerpt here:
Why did Nadia want to quit? In the clip, Nadia talks about wanting to quit Twitch a few months ago. The 22-year-old apparently started streaming quite spontaneously and quickly realized that it was harder than expected:
I thought it would be easier, I didn’t think it would be that difficult. […] I had never really gotten into streaming, I just did it. I saw Valkyrae and just did it.
The problem was apparently that while Nadia streamed between 140 and 180 hours a month, she hardly made any money from it. The 22-year-old explains that she panicked a bit. Still, she just kept going.
I was like, “Oh crap, I’m 22 and I play video games for a living, but I don’t really make any money. What should I do?”
Despite the success, the streamer seems to be worse off than before
How is she currently? Over the past 30 days, Nadia has averaged over 3,000 viewers and 6,400 active subscribers. She should now have a decent income. Despite the success, the 22-year-old is currently streaming rather irregularly.
On Twitter, she apologized to her fans, saying she was struggling with her mental health and couldn’t focus on her content like she used to. She might have to step back a little to get help, she the streamer.
Nadia does not reveal what is behind her difficulties. However, it is possible that the constant accusations are causing her problems.
Regardless of whether there is any truth to the allegations against Nadia, a pattern seems to be emerging. Female streamers who go viral with particularly good gameplay are almost immediately accused of cheating. So does the PUBG sniper Danucd:
