The Twitch streamer Emily “Extraemily” Zhang is known for her sophisticated but lovable, kind. But she always gets into trouble how current when she filmed herself as she ran over a red traffic light.
What kind of situation was that? Extraemily was traveling by car on April 12, 2025 and streams on Twitch. The camera bracket was set in such a way that spectators could see the streamer.
During the stream, however, she turned the camera, so that the street was seen instead-and also the bright red traffic light, where the streamer steers without stopping (but with a strange chimpanzee noise).
The road traffic regulations seem to be something like the natural enemy of many Twitch streamers:

Extraemily: “It’s okay, people do it that way”
What did the streamer say? Extraemily was nonchalant: “That happens continuously. In Austin [Texas] The traffic lights take really long. I usually just drive over it. ” In between, the streamer thanked a viewer for a completed subscription and then explained: “It’s okay, it’s okay, people do it that way.”
However, Twitch did not find the 27-year-old’s driving behavior quite okay, because today, on April 13, her channel was blocked. Since the streaming platform is notorious for not officially announcing spell reasons, we cannot say with certainty that the action was the reason for the lock, but it is extremely likely.
Due to the lock, the channel of Extraemily and thus the recording of the stream are no longer available. However, you will find the clip here:
It is still unclear how long extraemily loses access to your account. It is already the second spell for the streamer. She was closed in October 2023 because she looked at her cell phone while driving.
The community guidelines from Twitch are clear. Under the area of ”self -destructive behavior” it is explicitly listed that “dangerous driving behavior (e.g. using the phone) is prohibited”.
Spectators call for driver’s license withdrawal and streaming ban
Extraemily not only has to answer in front of the streaming platform, but also in front of the community and that is anything but impressed. A post in the streaming subreddit Livestreamfail received more than 1,000 comments-we have put together a few of them here.
At the time when the clip was shared, Extraemily was not yet closed on Twitch, which is why many users in the comments request a spell. Some go even further and require the streamer to be withdrawn from the driver’s license or twitch should be forbidden to stream completely when driving.
Comments that protect the streamer or downplay her behavior is in vain.
In Austin, Texas, where the streamer lives, the run over a red traffic light is not considered a crime, but there is a risk of punishments of $ 75 to $ 200, as well as 2 points on the driver’s license-if you collect too many within 3 years, you lose your rag (via San Antonio Criminal Defense).
Just a few days ago, we reported on Meinmmo about another traffic offender, who also made the evidence of his misdeeds. However, he was unreasonable: “I am in GTA, Bro”-armed 19-year-old starts wild chase with the police
