Bungie caused a stir in the Destiny 2 community. A well-known streamer was branded a leaker because information about the upcoming Season 21 had landed on a Discord server. The streamer wanted to restore his reputation, but Bungie is now closing the case.
Which streamer is affected? This is the Twitch and YouTube streamer “Ekuega”. He and other content creators were invited to a secret meeting with Bungie so they could get updates on upcoming content.
After this meeting, however, important information from the conference leaked to Discord. Bungie therefore reviewed the breach of trust case and concluded that the culprit could only be Ekuega. They permanently banned him and labeled him a leaker, although he still denies it.
The streamer suspects he’s being used as a scapegoat and that the culprit is someone else, but Bungie is undeterred and insists the guilty verdict is justified.
Bungie Closes Case – Has Enough Evidence to Prove Tat
What did Bungie say now? While many content creators are now standing by Ekuega and backing him, Bungie has already made its decision. They released a final statement on Twitter, closing the case for themselves:
Our security and legal teams have reviewed irrefutable evidence, including video footage, verified messages and images, showing a temporal pattern that confirms that the same individual shared confidential information from community summits over multiple years.
We are very disappointed to have received this information and wish things had been different with this person. We do not take these measures lightly and we are confident in our decision.
This is our final communication on this matter.

Bungie insists they have irrefutable evidence and Ekuega is the culprit. While many fans, including Ekuega, have been hoping for his ban to be reversed and his reputation restored, Bungie is making it clear that it’s over.
What’s next for Ekuega? Since Bungie’s ban is permanent, Ekuega will be forced to stream other games to continue working on Twitch. Games like Warframe, Fortnite and Lost Ark are among games he has featured on his channel from time to time. So it’s quite possible that he will move on to test new games and be able to continue streaming.
What do you think of the case? Do you think Ekuega is guilty or is he just the scapegoat of an evil leaker? Let’s find out in the comments!
