Stratford police are investigating the theft of construction equipment from a site near Trailside Drive and Hooper Street in St. Marys/

Police said officers received a report about a TR270B skid steer loader and a Ramrod Trackmaster 1150 stand-on skid steer being stolen from the construction site overnight Sept. 7-8.

The skid steer loader is described as orange and black, with a material bucket and tracks (rather than wheels), with Savile Construction decals on both sides. The Ramrod Trackmaster is described as white and black with St Marys Landscaping decals on both sides. The Ramrod Trackmaster also had a landscape box rake attachment on the front.

Police said video footage from the area was able to identify a possible suspect vehicle described as a black quad-cab Dodge Ram pickup truck with a red car hauler dual-axle trailer with beavertail ramps. This vehicle was recorded in the area around 4 am, but police say they are unable to confirm if it was involved so would like to speak with the owner.

Police are asking anyone in the area with video surveillance to review their footage and contact police if they find anything suspicious. Anyone with information is asked to call Stratford police at 519-271-4141 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
