Platform subscribers will be able to take advantage of this bridge day to binge-watch these new episodes. Be careful however, they are much longer than usual, since the shortest episode lasts 1h03. Do not panic also in front of the cliffhanger of episode 7: the sequel (two new episodes) will be put online on July 1st.
After three years of waiting, it’s not easy to remember what happened in the previous seasons. In the latest episodes of Stranger Things, our heroes’ summer vacation has been disrupted by the return of the Mind Flayer. They notably took possession of Billy, Max’s brother who ends up dying. We also discover that the USSR is trying to take advantage of the recently closed fault at Hawkins to reopen the portal with the world upside down. During the battle, Eleven lost her powers.
The protagonists of Stranger Things manage to get rid of the creatures and prevent the portal from reopening thanks to the sacrifice of Hopper (who had just admitted his feelings for Joyce). After a long mystery surrounding the plot of season 4 of Stranger Things, Netflix revealed an official synopsis in a press release: “Six months have passed since the battle of the Starcourt Mall which sowed terror and desolation on Hawkins. Still staggering, our friends find themselves separated for the first time – and high school life isn’t helping. It’s at this moment of vulnerability that a new supernatural threat appears and, with it, a terrible mystery that could be the key to ending the horrors of the Upside Down.”
The date for season 4 of Stranger Things has been made official after three years of waiting for fans. The episodes will be split into two volumes: the first will be released on Netflix on May 27, 2022. New characters will come to enliven the plot of season 4 of Stranger Things. These were announced in November 2020 by Netflix. Among the newcomers, we find the actor Jamie Campbell Bower (Twilight, Harry Potter, Sweeney Todd) who plays Peter Ballard, a nurse in a psychiatric hospital. The actor Robert Englund (The Claws of the Night) plays Victor Creel a man interned in this psychiatric hospital after committing a murder thirty years earlier. Tom Wlaschiha (Game of Thrones) is Dmitiri, a Russian prison guard, Eduardo Franco is Argyle, Jonathan’s new friend. mason dye (Harry Bosch) plays Jason Carver, the popular new boy in high school, opposite joseph quinnpresident of a club. Sherman Augustus plays Lieutenant Colonel Sullivan, a man obsessed with eradicating evil, while Nikola Djuricko is Yuri, a Russian smuggler.

The announcement of the release date for season 4 of Stranger Things was accompanied by the formalization of season 5. But, bad news for fans of the SF series, Netflix has confirmed that it will be the last : “As you will soon discover, the grand finale is approaching. Season 4 will be the penultimate and season 5, the last” confirmed the creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, in a letter shared on social networks from Netflix. The release date for Season 5 has not yet been made official.
