Fans are patiently awaiting the next two episodes of Stranger Things, which promise to be a rousing finale to the epic Season 4. Having already learned the shocking truths about Upside Down villain Vecna and Eleven’s backstory, we can expect more surprising twists in the remaining XXL episodes.
However, a central mystery of Stranger Things will not be solved at the end of this season. Why the Upside Down looks like Hawkins? Where do all the monsters come from? There will be answers in the final season 5. The Duffer brothers recently revealed this in an interview with Variety. But important information should be available beforehand.
Stranger Things won’t reveal the big secret of the Upside Down until Season 5
In the cosmos of Stranger Things, in addition to the small town of Hawkins, there is also the dark parallel dimension of the Upside Down, in which horrible monsters such as Vecna, the Mind Flayer and the Demogorgons live. In Season 4, Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) makes a shocking discovery that will… see the upside down with completely different eyes leaves.

The Upside Down is one exact copy of Hawkins frozen in time. This appears on Nov. 6, 1983 to have been created. That’s the day Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) was kidnapped there. Previously, it was an infernal wasteland into which, a few years earlier, Vecna aka Number 001 (Jamie Campbell Bower) was thrown by Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
But why did the Upside Down become Hawkins’ horror backup on that very day? It might have been created by little Will himself? Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have this to say about it:
In fact, that’s one of the few questions we’ve raised this season that won’t be answered in Part 2. But that sets the stage for some big revelations in our final season.
That doesn’t mean we don’t learn anything new about the Infernal Dimension in Season 4, though. Matt Duffer is even sure that the revelations of the next two episodes will already let some people come up with the solution to the mystery: “I’m sure, someone on reddit will find outbased on what is seen in Issue 2.”
When is Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 coming to Netflix?
Season 4 of Stranger Things will be released in two parts. issue 2 includes episodes 8 and 9. You will on Netflix on July 1, 2022 released. The final two episodes will bring Season 4 to a close with an epic runtime. Episode 8 has a feature length of approx. 85 minutes. The monumental season finale (episode 9), on the other hand, is supposed to about 2.5 hours To be long.
