A phenomenon has been seen in the sky in southern Stockholm and in Södertälje.

Something that several people have reacted to.

– It was a strange sight, says Zaid.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, several residents in southern Stockholm and in Södertälje saw something in the sky.

Several people have sent in pictures to Aftonbladet of what looks like a strange cloud – or a plane that has crashed.

– I thought it might be a drone. I don’t really know, says Zaid, one of several who captured the phenomenon on film.

But according to the Maritime and Air Rescue Centre, it is likely so-called k-streaks that have caught people’s attention.

– It appears to be condensation streaks, so-called k-streaks, from an aircraft. It occurs when warm air meets cold air, says Lars Nilsson, air rescue manager.

He emphasizes that there has been no air traffic alert in the area.

– When the sun is on the horizon and shines on from below, there are powerful shadows. Then it could look like this, he continues.
