Strange New Worlds Season 2 trailer features space monsters James

It’s a real Star Trek week: First the new Section 31 movie starring Michelle Yeoh was announced. Last night saw the first teaser trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 (see below) and on Friday the season 3 finale wraps up the sci-fi adventure Star Trek: Picard.

Staying with Strange New Worlds: The acclaimed Star Trek series about Enterprise Captain Christopher Pike is entering its second season this summer. The teaser trailer features Paul Wesley as a young James. T. Kirk follows in the footsteps of William Shatner and Chris Pine. There’s also 1990s-style Klingons, an alien-esque space monster, and apparently at least one time travel. But see for yourself.

This is known about season 2 of the sci-fi series

Carol Kane also appears in the trailer. She plays the Enterprise’s new chief engineer, Pelia. If you’re curious as to why the Enterprise needs to fill the position, watch Season 1 of the series through to the end.

Towards the end of the premiere season, Paul Wesley also made an appearance as James T. Kirk. The former Vampire Diaries lead man plays the legendary Star Trek hero before becoming the youngest captain in Starfleet history. Strange New Worlds tells namely the prehistory of the very first Star Trek series Starship Enterprise. At this time, Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) is leading the crew. These include Vulcan Spock (Ethan Peck), nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush) and linguist Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) – all characters from the original series.

Based on the shop that Kirk and security boss La’an Noonien-Singh (Christina Chong) visit in the teaser trailer, a journey through time probably awaits us.

One of the highlights of season 2 is still rare in the video: the crossover with the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks. This will be a mix of live-action footage and animation and will be directed by Commander Riker actor Jonathan Frakes. The two Lower Decks voice actors Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid will play their characters Ensign Mariner and Ensign Boimler in live-action guise for the first time.

When is Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 coming to Germany?

Unlike the last season, German audiences don’t have to wait any longer for the series than the rest of the world. Strange New Worlds season 2 will premiere on June 15, 2023 on the Paramount+ streaming service. After that, new episodes will be released every Thursday.
