Storm Pia: Highest water level in northwestern Scania

SMHI has issued an orange warning for high water levels in the Öresund, with levels of 120–160 centimeters. During Friday, the water level continues to rise and is expected to reach very high levels. It will be highest in Laholmsbukten, Skälderviken and Öresund north of Helsingborg.

SMHI warns of extensive flooding and risk of erosion damage as well as damage to ports, buildings and commercial activities near the coast, among other things. Moored boats and ships can also be damaged.

Limited accessibility on roads and railways may follow. During Friday morning, train traffic between Helsingborg and Eslöv has been suspended and is expected to reopen in the afternoon.
