The KNMI announced code orange for Noord-Holland, Friesland and the Wadden area on Monday and code yellow for the rest of the Netherlands due to storm Corrie. In the northwest of the country, (very) heavy wind gusts of 90 to 110 kilometers per hour are forecast. Above the IJsselmeer, wind speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour can even be reached. The ANWB advises people not to take to the road on Mondays if it is not necessary.
