Security measures have begun to be taken on the streets of Paris ahead of the second round of early general elections in France. The country, home to 49.5 million French voters, will go to the polls for the second time to determine the deputies who will represent them in the National Assembly for five years.
STORE WINDOWS WERE COVERED WITH BLACKBOARDS
As the excitement of the second round of the critical election continues in the country, intensive security measures have been taken. In order to prevent any negativities that may occur after the second round and to prevent possible store looting, the shop windows and glass areas of the shops have been covered with wooden boards. It is expected that this practice will minimize the damage that may occur after the election.
With the application reportedly made to prevent possible negative situations, many stores have been protected against looting.
Voting will begin at 08:00 local time in mainland France and end at 18:00. In major cities such as Paris, voting will continue until 20:00.
501 MPs will be determined by the VOTING in the 2nd ROUND
Of the 577 deputies who will serve in the National Assembly, 76 were determined in the first round of voting, 39 of these deputies were far-right, 32 from the left alliance, 2 from the Macron alliance and the remaining 3 from the center-right Republicans and other right-wing parties. The remaining 501 deputies will be determined in the second round of voting. (AA)
