Four of Svenski’s brothers again helped Stora Tuna’s message to Jukola win. In the end, Tampereen Pyrinto, which fought for the top spots, was rejected due to an error.
Swedish Stora Tuna OK has once again won the traditional Jukola message in Mynämäki. Stora Tuna also won two previous Jukola posts.
Stora Tuna’s team was navigated by four of Svenski’s brothers: Jesper, Joakim, Emil and Viktor. Among them, Viktor brought his team to the finish line in the morning at 6.56.
The Swedes beat OK Ravine, who came in second, by as much as three minutes and 25 seconds. The third was the Norwegian NTNUI (+3.38), who defeated OK Linnaeus by four seconds at the end.
The attempt and HS were rejected
At the beginning of the seventh leg, Tampereen Pyrintä rose to fight for third place, but during the leg, the people of Tampere received bad news. The request was rejected Pascal Buchsin due to an error in the sixth portion.
– He seems to have gone wrong and it became a wreck, navigating the second part of Pyrinto Anton Kuukka annoyed Sports.
The moon had only recently been informed.
– It’s a bit of an initial shock not to realize. Terrible situation, especially for Pascal. Of course, it annoys everyone. You have to tick the correct order. It’s not that weird, Kuukka put it.
Last year’s third, Helsinki Orienteering, was also rejected for a similar offense in the fourth section.
Thus, the best Finnish team was the fifth-placed Kaleva Rasti, which was 9.33 behind.
Swedes peaks in the dark
The first half of the message was marked by difficult conditions, as the entire second and third stages of the top teams were heavily rained. Surprisingly dark conditions favor Swedish teams trained in night orienteering, as the country practices a lot of orienteering at night in winter.
After the third leg, there were as many as five Swedish teams at the top. Stora Tuna, IFK Gothenburg and OK Linné were already barred from the others, as the difference to OK Ravinen after the leg was almost four minutes.
Stora Tuna just grabbed the top spot on the third leg of Joakim. OK Linne, who won Tiomila in the spring, took the lead for a while, but otherwise Stora Tuna dominated the top spot until the end.
After the fourth leg, the team was permanently detached from the other top-end messengers. In the fifth shift, Tampereen Pyrinto was second behind the Swedes for two minutes and 27 seconds. Turku Forest Visitors was third, two seconds from Pyrinnö.
After the sixth leg, the Norwegian NTNUI was second with almost four and a half minutes from the top and IFK Gothenburg was third (+5.53).
