The Swedish club Stora Tuna OK ran to victory in Kauhava with a time of 7:58.21. The championship was the fifth in a row for the club. OK Linné from Sweden also finished second in 8.10.09.
Stora Tuna took a double win in Kauhava, as the club was also the strongest in Venloje’s relay on Saturday. The performance of the Swedish club is exceptional.
The last time the same club won both relays was 33 years ago. The Swedish IFK Södertälje conquered the relays of Jukola and Venloje in 1991.
Suomen Ikaalisten Nouseva-Voima rose after a 45-year hiatus on Sunday. The last time the team reached third place was in 1979.
In the row of the Ikaals, they navigated in their order Juho Ylinen, Mikko Knuuttila, Joona Huila, Mikko Siren, Tuomas Kotro, Teemu Oksanen and Eetu Savolainen. The team’s time was 8:17.53.
