Stop on E20 – long queues after moose collision

The rescue service was alerted to E20 at the height of Läggesta in Mariefred at 06.20 on Tuesday morning. This after several cars collided with a moose on the highway.

– Two people were stuck in a car, we worked there with extrication. Both have been taken to hospital, says the officer on duty Daniel Kaissidis to Aftonbladet.

A person must be seriously injured.

Advised total stop on E20

Initially, the accident caused a complete standstill in both directions, leading to massive queues on the E20.

– We are in the process of cleaning up the road and will remain completely closed for at least half an hour more, Kaissidis told the newspaper.

At 7:30 a.m. traffic was allowed to open in one lane.
