Stone Age, notes from Breizh

Stone Age notes from Breizh

Stone Age launched 30 years ago in music, they are back today for their fifth album “Bubry Road” with music that is still just as singular.

When they launched 30 years ago, music was not yet as dematerialized as it is now – in other words, it was the Stone Age. At the time, there were still record stores, and they must have been scratching their heads.

The group was named for their 1er album at the Victoires de la Musique but where to store their records? In the pop-rock department? New Age? Among the music of the world? Perhaps, but at that time in the “Celtic worlds” section, the shelf was more stamped “Brittany”.

First “Stone Age” in 1994, after “Les Chronovoyageurs”, after “Promessa”, after “Totems d’Armorique” in 2007 and since then no more albums. Not too many record stores either. Now music is happening online on streaming or download platforms. So to find Stone Age, it’s simpler: just type his name on his keyboard. We can now discover their 5and album Marc Hazon–alias Ponkallec– come and present it to us in VMDN. ” Bubry Road is available from Coop Breizh.
