A number of people have suffered from stomach ailments at the Kebnekaise mountain station and three individuals have had to be picked up by the mountain rescue.
– There were three people yesterday who got sick on the trail on the way up to the top and were picked up by the mountain rescue, but that’s the only mountain rescue I’ve heard of, says mountain manager Maria Persson.
You should think about that
To avoid the infection spreading to more visitors, a series of measures have been taken, and mountain manager Maria Persson believes that it is above all important to remember that there are more than just you staying in the mountains.
– Be sure to wash your hands with soap, but do not do it in running water. There are more people out in the mountains and running water travels further.
In the clip you will hear more about the situation at Kebnekaise.
