– One person told us that he had eaten the prism and that it was his friend who had taken it. The person thought it was going back to Råå.
However, he did not want to return the prism himself. Instead, he wanted representatives of the museum to show up at an out-of-town location.
– Me and a friend went there. We really wanted it back. Only in retrospect did we think about safety. But the prism food was there, so it went well, says Hans-Ingvar Green.
Disappeared when the new lighthouse was built
The prism, a kind of lens that sits inside the lighthouse and refracts the light so it reaches further, had been in the old lighthouse in Råå harbor and disappeared in connection with the lighthouse being dismantled. Even then it was decided that the prism would be placed in the Råå museum.
– Finally, it has come right after three years. Now it has to be fixed, but we will solve that, says Hans-Ingvar Green.
The port of Helsingborg owns the lighthouse itself and since the man who returned the prism does not want to say who stole it, it is unclear whether there will be a police report.
