Police say their investigation began last month into the June 2020 break-in at an Aylmer property from which guns were stolen. Officers got a warrant on Monday and raided a home on Jackson Line in the Elgin County community of Straffordville, police said.

Aylmer police worked with Ontario Provincial Police officers to raid the home. “Several” firearms and “a quantity” of ammunition were seized, including the stolen weapons, police said.

Two men from Straffordville, ages 59 and 56, face a raft of charges including possession of a stolen weapon, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition and careless storage of a weapon.
