A woman in her thirties had a whim at an Ica store in Kungsör. According to herself, she got the idea to steal. Consequently, she put beef tenderloin and coffee in a carry-on bag and passed the tills without paying.

Repented quickly
Once out of the store, she began to feel ill and suffered from anxiety. She quickly regretted it and wanted to return the goods, but the ICA staff got there first. The staff took her into the warehouse where she had to wait until the police arrived.

According to the judgment which News24 taken part in, the woman is sentenced to two months in prison and a fine of SEK 1,000. In the district court, it was seen that the woman appeared 56 times in the charge register from 2004 onwards.

Due to the previous crimes, the district court decided that “any other penalty than imprisonment cannot be considered”.
