Stina Nilsson was superior to winners in the Vasaloppet and won by over five minutes.
Afterwards, she received the traditional wreath, which it was something really special about.

After his fourth season as a biathlon chose Stina Nilsson31, to change sports and instead invest in long races. The debut season has been successful and she has already taken pallet seats in Ski Classics. The first victory of the career as a long -run rider arrived as late as Sunday when Dalkullan won the Vasaloppet to the great joy of the home crowd.

She has won the Olympic and World Cup gold as a cross-country skier and took the European Medal as a biathlon. On the other hand, one of his career’s biggest moment for Stina is when she won the Vasaloppet in superior style with more than five minutes margin down to the second.
– I stretched the bow so hard I could. The last mile was not a good body, then I was really tired. A tired body that went to the finish and a really tired body to wake up today, she said in SVT on Monday.

She was completely lyrical about the victory and lay awake half the night thinking about her efforts. She basically led from start to finish and made a grand race.
– When I have done something good then I get satisfied and lie and think about it all night, go through every scenario and detail and I did that yesterday, she says.
Therefore, the wreath was especially for Stina
As soon as she crossed the finish line in Mora, she got the victory wreath around her neck. It’s big for anyone. For Stina, it was even more special, for a special reason.
– It was actually my sister who did it because she practices in Mora at the Florist store there. So it’s made by my sister Hanna. An amazing honor to get it around your neck, she says.

Only four races remain in Ski Classics this year. March 15 it is the Birkebeinerrennet in Norway, on March 22, it is (50 km) Marcialonga Bodø, March 29, it is the Reistadløpet (46 km) in Setermoen-Bardufoss and on March 30 ends the season with Summit 2 Senja in Bardufoss and Finns.
