Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Stina Nilsson has had a tough season as a biathlete.
But this weekend saw the Swede’s best placing of the season.
“Satisfied satisfied satisfied”, she herself writes on Instagram about the success.

It has been a very tough season so far Stina Nilsson. In her third season as a biathlete, the Swede has not got it right at all during the World Cup.

Tough for Stina

Her best ranking among the world elite was a mere 33rd place, so it was not entirely unexpected that Nilsson was kicked from the Swedish squad for the World Cup before the weekend. Instead, the 29-year-old had to step back to the IBU Cup again, the level below the World Cup.

The plan was for Stina to regain her confidence and take top positions to earn her place in the World Cup again. But the Swede had a leaden start to the weekend in Friday’s distance competition with six hurdles and a full four minutes behind the lead when the race was to be summarized.
