Ebba Andersson won both races during Ski Classic’s closing weekend.
Stina Nilsson did not have a chance in the hot Swedish duel.

It was Tuesday that the World Cup queen Ebba Andersson27, came with the message that she would extend the racing season with the two closing races in the long -run ski Classics. She simply didn’t feel ready yet, even though she won three gold medals in Trondheim a month ago.

Ebba won both Saturday’s Reistad race, 46 km, and Sunday’s Summit 2 Senja, 60 km long. The latter race ended with a hefty climb after 55 km, the Magdaskaret. By then there had already been many uphill slopes during the competition. Ebba Andersson was incredibly strong on the last hill.

It was a pre -given quartet that made up for the victory. Ebba Andersson, Stina Nilsson and the Norwegian riders Anikken made Alnäs and Emilie Fleten lay in the lead until the end. Then suddenly Ebba took command. She crushed Stina Nilsson in the climb.
– I knew the hill would be long, but that it would be so long, no, I didn’t have that at all. Then when we were going down, I felt that I had zero control over what was waiting for more than it is a surrounding hook and trace, so I just tried to take it as carefully as possible but still keep away, says Ebba in SVT.

Although she was defeated by Ebba for the second day in a row, Stina was very pleased after the finish. She came second in the race and came third in the total cup. This during his debut season in Ski Classics.
-I’ve had a great day, I knew it was going to be to run on the last hill and I know how good Ebba is in the Tour de Ski-back, so I knew she is there so it will be super tough, she says in SVT.

Stina Nilsson is already looking forward to the next season.
– The barriers that I broke at Vasaloppet are just as sick for me. I can check back on that race and think, “Is that really me?” God what day I had! So I would like to work to feel that I have such a body again, she says.
