Stina Nilsson’s brand new challenge this summer – to be the best in Sweden: “Sharpen the horns properly”

Stina Nilsson is back in the hot air again.
And now she will settle with Sweden’s best in a completely new challenge.
– It will be very exciting, she admits to Radiosporten.

Currently loading Stina Nilsson fully up for the new season and her fourth in her career as a biathlete. After a tough season last year, she is ready to take the next step to develop and reach the top of the world.

Nilsson’s season

Because the last season was not at all what she had hoped for. Nilsson had difficulty finding his way at the World Cup and the results were clearly below expectations, which led to double pokes during the winter.

First, Stina was picked out of the World Cup and had to go back to the IBU Cup again, the level below the Biathlon World Cup. Then she also didn’t get a place in the Swedish squad for the Biathlon World Cup and instead had to settle for the Biathlon European Championship.

Stina’s challenge

Now the newly 30-year-old from Malung is ready to take his revenge and the summer’s pre-season training has gone brilliantly.
– So far very good. Much easier than last year, I’ve been healthy and injury-free really the whole time, so it’s been going very well, she says in an interview with Radiosporten.

This weekend awaits a completely new challenge for Stina Nilsson, who will face Sweden’s best in the roller ski shooting SC.
– It will be very exciting to be able to max out a bit with a race number tag on the chest. It is still something special when you get to sharpen the horns properly, so I think it will be exciting, quite simply, she admits to the radio channel.

The SC competitions in roller biathlon can give a first indication of how the form and abilities look before the upcoming biathlon season.
– Nah, but it obviously means a lot. But mostly for myself to feel where I stand somewhere and that I can ski fast and shoot well, says Stina in the interview.
