Stina Nilsson is poked again in the World Cup – cannot return after the weekend’s disappointment

The Biathlon World Cup is coming to Lenzerheide in Switzerland. Then again Stina Nilsson is not in the Swedish squad.

The 30-year-old had a difficult World Cup debut in Östersund and was not included in Sweden’s team in the competitions in Hochfilzen last week. Now Sweden has presented its squad to Lenzerheide – and Stina Nilsson is not included now either.

She is instead part of the squad that is going to Sjusjøen for competitions in the IBU Cup. To Sweden’s World Cup squad returns Jesper Nelinwho was ill last week but is now well.

Tilda Johansson and Anton Ivarsson, who both competed in the World Cup last week, are traveling home to Östersund to train. The head coach John Luke explaining:
– We see a good development curve with both Tilda and Anton and want it to continue like that. Both had some trouble during the summer and missed a lot of training due to injuries. They have competed for two weekends and now we want them to go back to training and get a good training block for three weeks at home, he says in a press release.
